Becoming a contestant is EASY! Email email@example.com receive all application items. We are hosting an upcomming informational meeting date to be announced, that will be held in the Expo Hall on the Madison County Fairgrounds. Time to be announced soon. We will also post upcomming practices on the fairgrounds.
Entry fee is $50, however, we encourage all contestants to find a sponsor to cover this fee. A sponsor could be anyone from a local business to your friends and family.
TO BE ANNOUNCED
1.Contestants participating in the Junior Miss Madison County Fair Queen Pageant must be between the ages of 11 and 13 years of age. Contestants must be 11 years of age by the pageant date (July 24, 2013) and not have reached their 13th birthday by the pageant date (July 24, 2013).
2.Contestants must be a single female; never have been married or had a marriage annulled.
3.Contestant can never have been pregnant and is not the adoptive parent of a child.
4.Contestants must have been a legal resident of Madison County, Illinois for six months prior to the pageant date or attend a high school or college or work (full-time or part-time) in Madison County.
5.Contestants must be a U.S. Citizen.
6.Contestants can never have been convicted of a felony offense.
7.Was born female and has always been female.
8.Contestants cannot have held a county fair queen title in Illinois or competed for the title of Miss Illinois County Fair at the state pageant.
9.Does not use or consume any illegal controlled substances or abuse the use of alcohol or other dangerous substances.
10.Is of good moral character. Has never performed any act or engaged in any activity or employment that is or could be characterized as immoral or indecent. Attests that any and all online depictions associated with the contestant’s name or likeness including but not limited to Facebook and MySpace pages are consistent with the standards and dignity of the Miss Illinois Fair Queen Pageant and the Junior Miss Madison County Fair Queen Pageant.
11.Contestants will limit themselves to two holes/piercings in each ear lobe. All other piercings – ear or body – must be removed or covered. All tattoos must be covered.
12.Contestants are required to have a “Sponsor” (business or family) who accepts responsibility for their $50.00 entry fee.
13.Contestants must attend all practices and rehearsals unless excused, in advance, by the Director. No exceptions!
14.Contestants cannot drink alcoholic beverages, use illegal drugs or smoke during any pageant practices, rehearsals or other events they may attend as a contestant of the Junior Miss Madison County Fair Queen Pageant (e.g. County Fair Queen Pageants, Photo Shoots, etc.) If any contestant drinks, smokes or uses drugs as outlined, they will immediately be disqualified from the competition.
